yep - they used the greedspeed snub on the old rabbits.

It isnt an exact replacement of whats already in there, is it? I definately want an upgrade... so it isnt crap again in 60K.

Yeah, but I know I'd feel an improvement just buying another stock one... they degrade over time... my car has about 60K on it.
Apparently the engine moves quite a bit under accel/decel... since I tore a vacuum line today.

 

i feel stupid asking this but do i need more than one snub mount? Since its a mount its sounds as if there might be more than one needed.

 

no, just one in the center of your engine. it's more of a shock absorber than a mount

The greedspeed one is not the same as the stock one.

 

all of the aftermarket snub mounts (including the greedspeed one, which is an OE vw part) are polyurethane (sp?), i THINK the stock snub mount is just plain ol' rubber
