doing my snub mount right now, now i read somewhere that you need to jack up the engine a little by putting a peice of plywood on a jack and putting thatunder the engine. Do i need to do that or not, aprs sites write up doesnt mention it. thanks in advance i know alot you you guys have done this

I didn't do that when i put mine in, and it went in just fine.

 

ok both sets of directions on the write ups are confusing as hell when it comes to takeing off the bumper? any hints im gonig to look for a bumper removal write up in the mean time

 

alright got it, damn its tricky but makes oh so much sense when you get it off

 

yea the bumper can be tricky. you also wont need to use the jack for anything.

 

Tip on getting the sides of the bumper off, at least for my 98 was to push down on side as best you can, while pulling away from the car with your other hand. Went off np.

 

the only way i can get the bumper off is by jacking up the car, supporting it on jack stands, removing the wheels, unscrewing the fenderwell, getting underthere and taking it off the clips with a flathead... if anybody has any better way, please tell me, its a huge pita!!

 

just do what everyone says but dont be afraid to use some force. OEM bumpers are pretty tough.

 

push down like towards the ground? i was doing a BT install this weekand and i couldnt get my bumper off for the life of my. i have a 98, but i couldnt get it unclipped.
