Everyone says the snub mount is a good upgrade but how much does it cost? What all is involved, and is it that hard?

 

about 2-3 hours if you do it yourself, depending on your knowledge of the front end.
Must be put in the service position (front released and pulled forwards slightly).

It's not that hard. I've done it twice.

 

It also depends on whether you have a B5 or B6/B7. The B6/B7 doesn't need to be put into the service position and takes only like a half hour - hour.

 

If you are doing your timing belt soon, I'd do it at the same time and once you have the front of the car removed, putting in the snub mount only takes a few minutes.

If you have a tiptronic, I would not get the APR mount. The vibration is bad.
