Bumper shocks deffinately have to come off to get the snub on. You saying the torx bolts are stripped on the head or the threads???

That sucks.

First, get some new bolts to replace these, probably dealer part.

To get them out, unless someone had a better suggestion:

Take a thin grinding wheel on a dremel or drill, and make a groove in the bolt so you can try to use a Large /heavy duty flathead screwdirver to get it out.

Obviously your gonna need a littlt torque to get it out, so maybe use a screwdriver bit in a socket wrench to do the dirty work.

if you have a welder, you can tac weld a spare socket on and use a breaker bar to turn it out.

That'll work, great suggestion!

How on earth did they get stripped? Were you using the CORRECT torx bit? My 96's were just fine getting out with the proper bit.

I'll bet someone else had been in there before...leave it to the pro's to strip your bolts!...
