Default Snub Mount question

I've been meaning to ask about this since I installed it with my timing belt... I put in a Greed Speed snub mount a few weeks ago, and it's AWESOME. You can DEFINITELY feel the difference.

Has anyone else notice how the car seems make more of an aggressive growl around 4k rpms w/ the SM??? And do you feel the response directly in your gas pedal?

HIGHLY recommend it to anyone w/ $20.

It has better response. I didn't notice any difference in sound. I have a cone filer and it always growls at 4k.

Is a snub mount pointless on an auto, as I've heard it just transfers all the vibrations into the cabin?? Am I talking bollox or what?

No - it is not pointless to put a SM on an auto. The snub mount reduces drivetrain slop. It makes a difference. Depending on the SM you use, you could get some vibrations. I used the Greedspeed on my last A4 (auto) and it made a big difference with no vibration.

And of course, the SM will only make a difference on a car that has a deteriorated stock snub mount. So if you have a relatively new car, don't bother yet.

the best DIY install info for snub mount is on the APR website www.goapr.com the customer support link on the left of the screen click on it then click on snub mount install. then follow instructions. After i installed mine i realized all of the slop in my car. Ididnt even know it was there till after the install. Really cool.

Are these instructions good for the 3.0 as well?
