Sorry to break the news but all seasons suck...dy, wet or snow. The only thing good about them is they're satisfactory in all those conditions but they are no where near as good as getting an appropriate seasonal tire.

If you're in a wintery part of the country put a real winter tire on and see the difference, if they plow it immediately then the all seasons should be good enough. If you live out in the PA mountains like I used to, winter tires are completely necassary. I never had the advantage of Quattro then, but I ended up having to walk about a mile because the brand new all seasons just couldn't get me up the hill.

Winter tires suck in the dry, they stick fine but they won't last long because obviously they weren't really made for it.

Summer tires also are complete garbage in the snow but I don't have to state the obvious on this one.

Anyway, I don't want snow until Thursday. I still have to wait for my CV shaft and I don't want to have to work in the snow.

You should see Austrian autobahns.I was going to Austria to visit my friend and there was atleast 2 inches of snow on th motorway. In that weather conditions cars are separated on 2 types; Audi and the rest

I was doing 70-80 mph in thoose conditions and she sticked to the road like glue. I even had a small race with a S4 on the Obertauern motorway. Not to meniton he owned me big time, but it was pretty neat to see 2 audis drifting through the curves

Whatever you want to say about all season tires is fine, thats your opinion, but my first hand experience showed my that coupled with traction control, they worked perfectly fine. I didnt slide once, and got as much grip as I wanted it. Not to mention the sick donuts

To each their own.

I can't say they're bad, but they aren't the best. But switching tires by season is also a little more expensive but for the most tire performance, I suggest a seasonal tire.

I'm saying this and I'm gonna end up buying all-seasons if I don't get another set of wheels soon.
