i'm guessing the red wire is for power ? and what else do i need to connect besides the black to the back of the head unit?

That is it, Connect in line with the antenna cable and red to power

I had that signal problem and someone on here recommened that antenna boooster. Well i got one at circuit city for 12$ pluged it in, and damn.......itd really works. some areas are a lil static stil, but it was like 100x better then before. Its enough to satisfy me

before i start hacking into the wires .... could someone give me a quick refrense as to which one is the antenna wire ... i know on my other cars this wire has been off by itself and alot larger ... but if i remember right i believe it is in with the other wires in those clips ... so do i need to splice the wire inorder to get to the antenna wire ? thanks

 

in mine when i pull out my deck there is a sticker on the top with a list of all the wires and what color they are, but my deck is a aftermarket i am asuming yours is to since you are having reception problems
