Royal Purple anyone?

 

i read a post on here somewhere, they has royal purple and they had valvetrain noise and then they changed to something else and it went away, i dont wht to beleive when it comes to oils. my car has 40k + and it seems it was dealer mainaitned before me (which meant oil change with 5w40 castrol syntec every 10k miles) and it had plenty of crap deposited on the inside of the oil cap...auto rx in near future perhaps

 

Best bet is Amsoil. They were the original fully synthetic oil maker and I doubt that will ever change.

 

I picked up 24 quarts of Q torque power and 6 quarts Penziol Plat. @ advance auto on their BOGO sale. Those are damn good oils for about $2.50 a quart... I don't need any more oil for a while

 

Or you could just use what the dealerships use. Castrol 5W40 full synth. made for audi/vw/bmw/benz.

 

Yup...Castrol Full 5W40 here too. No problems.

 

perhaps even with castrol syntec 5w-40 from the dealer, the 10k dealer-recommenededinterval is stilltoo long. i guess no way to know wihtout paying $20 after the 10k miles and have the oil analyzed...

 

0W/40- 30 is full synthetic anything above 0W like 5W/30 is semi synthetic

 

Because castrol PAYS audi/BMW/benz to use it....
