Default So I picked up my 2009 A4 2.0T today and... is this normal?

The car sounds a little "knocky" when at idle. Almost sounds, slightly, like a diesel. When I am going, it sounds great and drives awesome. Just curious if this is normal? It has 34K on it.

Thanks for your input!

Maybe just the gas ... check any good by filling up with top-tier gas SHELL or MOBIL 91-93 OCTANE.

The FSI 4 cylinders have a little bit of noise to them at idle.

Well, the dealer filled it up before I picked it up so... perhaps they filled it with a cheap 91 octane from the local el cheapo station. I hope this is the case.

I will fill it with Shell 94 and let it cycle through 2 fillups and see if it improves.

Is there anything I can do to sweeten up the idle sound? I'm hoping it's just cheap gas the dealer filled the car with.
