i know its been forever but i went to the autoparts store and bought one of those little kits for rearview mirrors....and it worked...until i tried to put the mirror back on the bracket.....then i knoecked it back off....i remember the mirror coming off the bracket super easy but i cant find that angle again.....help? so i can go ahead and put that back on finally

 

It's just a ball joint - give it a good tug, it'll come apart.

 

oh sorry i meant to get it back on..my fault...i was trying to put the mirror back on the bracket and it came off the windshield...too much pressure..i cant get it back on the bracket...

 

Same thing, just a ball joint. Try rotating it onto the ball from an angle. Should just pop together - try to be firm but gentle.
