some of it is, some of it isnt. It's all outlined in the CPO docs. Maintenance isnt the costly part though, its when **** breaks that it gets costly, which is where the warranty kicks in and helps out ALOT.

I agree. Seems like they can become costly around 60k miles or so. Most of the problems are little things though that a home garage mechanic can take care of himself.

well this is kind of disheartening then. I can do most of the stuff, but live in an apartment, so can't really do car work at will. I mean, I've installed intakes on pretty much every car I owned, I installed a downpipe back exhaust system on my WRX, changed the fuel filter (but that is getting more tricky these days), are we talking harder stuff than all of this? Thanks for the honest answers all, I really really want this car, but I gotta be realistic as well.

So for the certified warranty, I would be covered (if the original person leased it in september 05) until sept 2011 or 100k, correct?

Well I have 70K on mine and bought it a month ago since I got it I have done

Timing belt
APR snub mount
K&N filter
both front outer CV's
Oil & filter
Brake fluid flush
Top off Power steering
new manual tranny fluid
Both front and rear Diffs w/ redline
PIAA H7's low beam

Some of these I did not need to do but if you stay ahead you'll be happy........BTW I am happy I got the car and all of this was expected, I love doing my own work.

See all of these things I would see as normal for around 60k, so if this is the the little stuff that needs to be done u guys are talking about, then I am in. After thinking about it for a sec, most cars start needing stuff replaced at ~60k or so. I mean hell, the CD player on my 05 tacoma went out and I haven't even had it a year yet, LOL. I am a person who, even though I can't do all the work myself (not because I can't, but because of where I live) that I will pay to have it done so that I can keep my cars a long time, or get top dollar or trade in value when I get rid of em, cause I have proof of all the maintenance.

Oh and thanks for the welcome Beer Mod, hoping to spend lots of time here

my audi has a 105k on it. it runs AMAZING. no weird ticks or noises AT ALL. even in the cold weather. i do have a 12v V-6, which is not performance driven at all, but it runs really good. im still on the stock clutch, no burning oil, no leaks or anything. clutch is gripping strong, and everything runs to the "tee."

just thought I would share a reliable audi story, cuz i know a lot of people dont have the same story to tell.

well, from what all of u are saying, it doesn't sound like a big deal. It seems like normal stuff that starts going on most cars at between 60-100k miles. So I think I am still gonna go with the audi, now I am just trying to decide if I wanna save a little money and go with a 04 1.8T quattro or 06 2.0T quattro, I am leanin towards the 06 cause I like the look a little better, anything I should know between those model years? I know there is a 30hp diff between them, but besides that?
