Default some aftermarket stereo questions....

I am considering purchasing the eclipse avn 2454. i do not have much knowledge about car stereos and therefore i dont know what to look for. i have a few questions....

1. does it fit into a b6 A4. It says it fits into a double DIN, which is what i have right?
2. Does it push a lot of power for a head unit? how would the sound compare to the symphony? can this head unit run some the bose system? subs?
3. can i connect ps2/xbox?
4. can i connect a different brand of cd changer? possible a cd/dvd changer?

specs...

once again, sorry for the annoying questions, and thanks in advance

Coooool!

1. If you've got a double-DIN HU right now..this should fit
2. The power is pretty average for head units these days, but that shouldn't matter too much. You're running your speakers off of an amp anyways. As long as the head unit can be plugged into the amp, power shouldn't matter.
3. no idea - would be cool though
4. I don't see why not. The cd changer just has to be compatible with the head unit and if the head unit is compatible with the amp..you're all set!

If you get it and find it doesn't work out..you can always give it to me [8D]

thanks man,
i think that the symphony is a double DIN, in which case i think im gonna go with this over the nav + since i hear the usa nav discs dont work in it. and its $1k cheaper.
I couldnt find any info on inputs for a vhs/ps2/xbox, or whatever else you may want, but im gonna call them and find out,

The symphony is NOT a double DIN, Audi radios are wider than normal DIN sized radios.

You fit an adapter plate around the DIN head unit, Audi standard units are unique fit to avoid them being stolen.

Here is a pic of my DIN unit installed with adapter plate.

I think the standard units are ok if they do what you want, but i had that sitting around at home so i thought I'd chuck it in, i have a cd changer in the boot to.

It looks fine IMO, just need some help with the wiring on mine. I used the standard block plug din adapter connection but there is a spare brown wire with a female blade connector on the end left hanging there. I don't know what its for!! Anybody??

Also with the fitment of an aftermarket head unit i found that it won't switch off with the ignition, you have to manually turn it off each time which is annoying.
