Brown wires are almost always ground/earth.

There is currently no adapter kit for sale that fits the double Ddn newer style dash.
It has to be custom made. No one has found a kit to fit the 2000+ dash.

I should have said 99.5 - 2001.5 dash.
the 2002+ is different.

Though I wonder if they could be modified.

it looks like you could just cut that out and have those units fit....

People have tried the A6 panel and it will fit with a lot of modifications. It was deemed "not worth the effort" I believe.
