I've searched all over for a 2000 a4 fronttrac exhaust pic. I found some pics of like a 97 or something.

Im asking because from what the 9x exhaust looked like I think I might have an aftermarket exhaust, or at least some of the piping. Some of my piping is stainless steel and it looks thicker than the pics that I have seen of stock exhausts.

The thing that throws me off is that the car still has the whole 2 muffler section thing (one under the car further back, and the normal muffler except my muffler looks like a super version of the OEM).

Thanks guys. Any info would be appreciated. Did 2000+ get new exhausts?

 

they should be the same...
the only difference left would be tip or stick trans...
but it sounds like its aftermarket

 

I know right? But why would you keep the first muffler tank thing if you were getting a new exhaust?Maybe they got a dent and just wanted to replace a section?I dunno, I'll have to take some pics this weekend.

Mines a 5spd, no idea whats the difference exhaust wise.
