Its worth the money but i dont think youll be missing out on much. the stage 3 + makes 333hp at the flywheel. (regular stage 3 makes 280)

with the j31 you will be making close to if not what regular APR stage 3 makes. (270-280)
IMO apr stage 3 or 3+ is not worht the extra money.

What is this J31, Is it a software file? My car is currently a 1.8t jetta and I'm more than familiar with the tuning options for my car, but I'll be buying an A4 ultrasport for my wife and want to look into tuning that car as well, I'll be selling my car soon. I want to be able to have fun driving it, and I will be bored with the stockness knowing me. Unfortunately it's gonna be a TIP since she refuses to have a stick so I don't want to max out the tranny's power capability, but I do want a nice fast car. Any info you could give on the kit would be great. TIA.

not really hard to get a good tune.. my car runs extremely solid and it's dbw. it even runs with the n75 valve! stock smooth and amazing torque and powercurve.

the only b5 that is not 100% perfect is that particular car ... it's only the 2000 ATW. unitronic is having a heck of a time finding a car to tune. they had one but it had 2 cylinders running 50% compression! eek!.. so as soon as they get one, then they are all solid! the 97-99.5 and the 2001's are already solid!

if you want to get a custom tune, this is your opportunity. trust me, it's worth it! let me know and i'll hook you up with them to get your car custom dyno tuned.
