Just bought my car and there is some stuff, and the only thing i dont know is what the heck a Stage 3 MAF is, so if anyone knows, plz let me know, thanks

 

its just a bigger inlet for air ... im not sure what the regular inlet is it might be a 2.5 ...... or sumptin ... but i think a stage 3 is a 3 inch inlet mass air flow

 

dont get a larger maf unless ur ecu calls for one. i still run the stock maf

 

if the audi maf is anything like nissan, which im pretty sure it is, the maf is just somthing that reads your air and air pressure, the inlet size has no bearing on it whats so ever...........

 

umm no. the audi maf measures how much air is going into your engine. if u get a larger maf then it will have a lower air reading because more is able to pass threw it

i have a stage three maf on my car. here is a pic of mine. it is basicly bored out. to change the flow volume i put diferant size o rings right in front of the sensor

Hey thanks a lot for your help everyone, and yes I do have a GIAC chip so it might have called for a new MAF but I bought the car with All that stuff so thats why i was wondering. I was hoping it was something for more hp! but oh well thanks a lot everyone.
