I have a 2003 A4 1.8T and it's a great car. I would like to make the car sound a little more sportier, but I don't want to spend a lot of money on exhaust. Would it be worth getting a nice muffler and if so which ones would be good? Thanks a lot guys.

you could just get the muffler...its better to buy it than the whole exhaust beacuse you dont really notice the difference in HP....sound is the same....awsome......most people with an audi get a magnaflow muffler which will run you about $250 doubletipped or $180 singletipped.......if you dont want it to be too loud make sure they dont remove your silencer......they did on mine w/out asking...lucky for them i liked the sound

I'm not very knowledgeable about mufflers, so what would be the advantage of having a double tipped muffler versus a single tipped muffler? Also, I don't want the car to be annoyingly loud on the highway (no rice) Thanks

i just said that for looks.....no diff. in sound, but some people prefer 2-tipped instead of one because it looks better...

Are you kidding??? A good exhaust such as Borla (which is what "most" people with the A4 have) gain 10-15 hp easily, and thats still while using their resonator. It does wonders at least for the 1.8t. If you just do a muffler, it will sound a little better, but to get the full effect w/performance gains, you need to get wider more free flowing piping, at least from the cat back.
