should i go to the dealer?
im still having problems with the squeeking and clicking and the local mechanic is no help, my question is should i take it to the dealer and have them diagnose the problem? will they charge me anything just to look at it? should i just try and sell my car as it is even with these problems?
haha i think you used the ky thing in another post too, the squeeking occurs when i turn the wheel it sounds like its coming from the front suspension somewhere idk, the clicking occurs when i turn the wheel the mechanic said its not the cv joints but is probably in the steering column itself, i tried adjusting the angle it helped a little at first but now the same thing happens. willl the dealer really charge a lot of money just to diagnose the problem? could i just get it looked at for free to see whats wrong and then get myh car back and go from there? i really need to get this fixed as im sure it will scare off potential buyers...sorry for posting about the same thing guys im just trying to get it resolved
i dont know what split cv joints are or even where the cv joints are themselves lol but when i drive in a circle it does sound like a crunching sound or like im grinding the wheel well, everything is stock so i dont know why it would grind or make noises hah
Squeeking is probably (99%) a control arm. Finding which one is difficult, but usually the uppers.
Clicking could be CV joint, or possible tie-rod ends. If your steering has any play in it at all, then tie-rod ends are worn. Those are an easy DIY, then you will need an alignment.
You can check tie -rod ends like so:
jack up front end so wheel is off the ground. grab the left and right side of the tire with your hands. try to wiggle it or move it back and forth. If you have any play at all, the tie-rod ends need replaced.
You can spray the shizt out of all the control arm ends/connections with wd-40 or Pb-blaster, soak em real good, and it MIGHT help. I did this to mine, and my squeeks/creaks rarely rear their ugly heads. It now does it very rarely after it has been extremely dry for a log period of time, like weeks and weeks.
The only other fix is to replace the squeeky one, or even better, replace them all at the same time if you can afford it.

i just looked under the car maybe i should take a picture but i dont kn ow how to post them, cna i use a camera fone? the cv boots arent leaking anything right now they are slightly dirty but no major leaking that i can see and there isnt grease around them really except for just being kinda dirty, i might have a coolant leak though or maybe something else is wrong. ill get a picture up here cuz theres some loose metal parts maybe causing the problem.
