Sound System...
Whatsup guys...alright heres the deal...for christmas i was thinking about just putting a nasty system in my 98 Audi A4Q. My questions are...
- How hard is it to wire an amp into the Stock HU (Not the Bose System)
- Im thinking about getting two 10's (Infinity Refs 10.1D)
- Is it easy to DIY?
Thanks a lot guys...by the way the site looks great, keep up the good work!

i dunno bout the wirin and stuff but... I have 1 10" sub and it shakes the whole car. I dont think u'll need 2 unless u want overpowering bass (which i dont like bc u cant hear the music over the bass, but thats just me.) Mayb 1 12" would suit u better. just a suggestion.
Yeah I wouldn't go two 10's unless you amp your speakers as well...
And if you are not familiar with wiring a car, then pay somebody to do it... You need to buy a couple things to use the stock HU... but it is easily done, if you are familiar with installs.

Pretty easy install if your semi competent in wiring..... To use the stock HU you need a high to low converter or something of that sort to convert the signal to rca's. Other than that it’s just running wires and hooking it up. I agree with headshok though 2 10's will over power everything and will sound like crap unless you amp your other speakers as well so they can keep up wit the subs.
its not as easy as just connecting the wiring though. Im surprising a friend of mine when he gets back from collerge for break with a 10" self amplified (100w) bazooka sub in the trunk of his Accord. Me and my cousin were out there today freezing our anus's off and it can be a real bitch, def if you dont know what you are doing. Taking body panels off n all that, getting the correct wire, gettin em through the firewall and what not....nothing really ever goes smoothly or as planned. If you have no experience, def pay to get it professionaly done the right way.
Dude you got a 10 inch JL of course its going to hit hard.... I'm personally thinkin of getting an 8W7... thatll be more than enough for me. 2 10' inifnities is just overkill. A 10' will be perfect. Make sure you dyno that up though. A creaky car can kill any amount of bass you get.
