spark plug truth
i have done search after search on what people have to say about changing/upgrading spark plugs but honestly the only conclusion that ive gotten is to use the oe ones ( by the majority of comments )....?..... with the myriad of performance spark plugs available people seem to always suggest the oe. has any one used nology's silver spark plugs or the epower's diamond tips or any other high end performance spark plug desides bosche and ngk. or is it that audi seems to already use the greatest spark plug for enhancing performance let me know before i waste my moolah on some nologys silvers plus hotwires...
bah - oem spark plugs are ideal for your car unless you have some major performance mods.
Even chipped, the stock NGK PFR6Q are quite acceptable (for my 2000 1.8t at least).
Latest and greatest spark plugs won't enhance your performance if you are stock - it will, however, allow your car to advance in performance in line with other modifications you make to the fuel system and timing demands. ie - with a larger turbo you will likely need to regap plugs and get a colder step.

they also have to be laser tipped or whatever it is called. they require a special made plug or u will get erratic boost and it will mainly cause it not to go over 10 psi if chipped. if un chipped like brrman said ur not gonna notice anything.
