Hey Guys,

Just got my 2000 A4 1.8T black A4 last night. I was supposed to get it Wednesday night, but had some delays.

My back left speaker isn't working. There is a harness hanging from it with a white and green wire cut. I have no idea what this would go to as the speaker has a red and black wire going to it already. My back right speaker works fine.

Let me know if the pic didn't work.

After reviewing Audi World, I have a feeling its my amp. Anyone know where I should re-solder the wires to?

 

This is common from shoving too much luggage into the trunk and ripping off the small amplifier.

there should be some solder tabs on the speaker. The green wire attaches to the tab from which the red wire goes to the speaker, the black connects to black. You will then have to glue the amp back in position. Try to do it in place.

If you need to remove the speaker, you will have to remove the entire rear shelf, as the speaker grill doesn't come off. Instructions for speaker removal are in the tech section of audiworld.com

Both my rears are not working, im not getting any voltage over the lines though... i think i have a short somewhere... anyone know where the rear speaker wires run? or how to test where the short is? maybe a toner?
