Default specialty tools

iv checked all the auto stores and they all told me the same thing

"you can get the tool to change the differential and final drive oil off from Snap-on. "

anybody know how i contact them, or if anybody knows where else to get this tool any help would be appreciated

it looks like a triple square tool, kind of like those screwdrivers that have like 6 points on them, but with many more points

haha, i sound like a dumba55 trying to explain it, but anybody who has ever changed their center diff and rear diff oil knows what im talking about.

thanks guys,

-Z

Isn't snap on tools a franchise? You probably have one in your area but I think they have to deliver it to you...or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about.

haha there is a guy with a snap-on truck in every town in US and you have to contact him through your states snap on dealer.. you can find out that # from snapon.com..

I reccomend going to a garage somwhere and ask them for the guys number because everybody has the snap-on guys number..

with snap-on get ready to take your wallet out because that ***** expensive. but the tool quality is a true 110% everything is built so perfect!!!!

there it is..... dont spend a fortune on a snap on one, considering you'll prolly only use it once.

also the differential drain plug is just a 17mm allen, napa or any parts store should have it or be able to get it, its about $5, cause its a big chunk of steel.

Mac Tools sells a 7-piece set of tripple squares for $40 I think. I bought it and it has an unlimited warranty. All of the other manufacturers are charging more for sets with fewer pieces, some without warranties.

ok, something weird is going on. This is the second post in just as many minutes where someone has posted in a thread over a year old.

If your tallking about that triple square with the circle in the center you may be trying to drain your transmission. I think the drains on most diff housings are regular old allens. The tamper proof tripple square is available thru audi. Also check out zdmak tools. They sell alot of audi special tools relativly cheap.
