I tried doing a search but I guess no one ever asked this before. My question is on proper startup. In the morning going to work I normally let it heat up 15mins in anything below 32 maybe a little more before I start driving (it's cold when I go to work). I wanted to know what startup & shut downs precautionarys do you guys go through? I've also been thinking about a autostarter. Anyone have one & have a standard transmission?

 

audi says you dont need a warm up time... just start it and drive it lightly till it gets up to temp

but i usually start mine, have a cigarette.. hop in and drive
