Default Steering noise

Hello everyone,

I have a 2003 A4 3.0 quattro with approximately 55,000 miles.
Recently, I have noticed a high-pitch noise when steering at low speeds.
This happens at low temperatures (below 40F) and at low speeds (under 40MPH) only.

I have an appointement to get the car looked at next week but was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem.
Any suggestions? Thank you!!

Thank you for the reply. Is there a specific fluid I should get?
The car will be serviced next week...just wondering if I should fill it up in the meantime.
Thanks!
