I have the nasty 97 steering wheel and my buddy has the sport wheel. He's selling his audi so I was hoping to swap wheels before he does so. Is this an easy process? I mean im aware of the airbag situation and everything, but as far as fit goes and install is it easy? The wheel will fit right? HAs anyone done this? ...

 

Your buddy has a sport steering wheel from what year? You can only use a sport wheel from a 96 or 97. Other years have a different spline.

Little off-topic...anyone know if you can switch the new B7 steering wheel onto the B6? Particularly if the B7 wheel is the one with steering wheel controls for audio, etc...?

 

Don't think it's been done yet actually. Your guess is as good as mine.
