I have an 02 A6 that does not have the audio controls on the steering wheel. I would like to add that option if I can. Can I put an airbag from a car that did have that option (oh please say yes, please say yes)? Is my car pre-wired for the steering wheel controls? Any help would be great

 

The one thing I can tell you is that You'll probably need vag-com to properly code the steering module, if you have one installed in the car. I was able to use it to re-code the module in my '04 with steering wheel controls to 'without phone package' so I could actually use the bottom two buttons to cycle through radio presets and CD's. Cars with the phone package and stock coding can't do that. I think I recall that there was an option for coding for 'without controls' or something, so you may be in luck. As to whether or not you can plug and play an airbag with controls in, I don't know. Find one and try!
