still have missfire wtf

If you haven't bought the new one yet, rock auto has them for $80, and I think thats shipped. Not OEM, but I didn't have the cash to get it for $425 at the dealer, or $150 at the local import parts store, so I went the cheap route haven't had any trouble, though its only been a few thousand miles.

The ignition amplifier is the same thing as the ICM, just so you know.

Yeah, I knew, but ICM is the first term I heard, and it kind of stuck. According to Bentley, its the power output stage. ButI've seen the three terms thrown around interchangably here.From what I've read, its not even really a control module, that is taken care of the ECU. It's really just an amplifier, so that term is more accurate.

icm failure usually causes misfires on cyl 2

No s*&^% no one on this thread ever said otherwise why would you feel the need to put your 2 cents in when this problem has already been solved oh you didnt read it!
