Okay, so i hope this makes sense to someone. About two weeks ago I took my car to the dealership for an 80K service and a strange noise coming from what sounded like behind the center dash. I would get this sound when I would completely release the accelerator. It almost sounds like a "winding down" sound. Audi looked at it and found a faulty cut of valve and replaced it. Well the last two days I have been getting the same sound again. Anyone have any idea if this would be the same thing and how hard it would be to fix myself?

a winding down sound? what kinda car do you have, first of all.

 

its really hard to explain the sound. Its a mix between a rattle and the winding down sound.

And its a '01 A4 1.8T
