Default struts affect breaks?

hey all
my front right wheel has ben making almsot a grinding noise when the weight of the car shifts and even if you push down on it. A few people have told me its the struts and it will cost a couple hundred bucks for a new one. My question is...can this bad strut affect the breaks? because my break is squeeking on that wheel only.
Please let me know what you think. my car is a 99.5 30v with 50k on it

possible problems could be broken spring, leaking shocker I don't see a connection with the breaks unless the rotors are worn and pads

I know that you struts are not the problem but who ever told you a couple of hundred for the front right is smoking some good crack.

Any way I just picked up Bilstein struts and shocks for 320 shipped new - to give you an idea.
