The stock audi a4 1.8T give 27-28mpg, does giving it a chip affect this?

 

The chip is supposed to increase it, but then your foot will definitely get into it, and then it will drop like a rock once you start having fun with it.
So, to conclude, get a chip, watch your mpg drop and your rpm guage increase.

 

well you have to remember who gets a chip and then drives so. my mpg goes down when ever i do something to my car becuase i drive it faster

 

I must really be driving my car hard if you are supposed to get 27-28 mpg. I only average about 20 if that!!! I get about 290 miles on a tank. And thats pushing it.

i get 23mpg average and i drive it like its stolen

 

you're suppose to get more mpg

 

I've averaged 50mpg on the highway before...It's pretty awsome

 

Cool thanks for info guys. I dont have a 1.8T yet but will be getting one on my hands real soon after i know everything about the car and a few extra grand after i buy the car.
