Stuck at 11psi?? help

Default Stuck at 11psi?? help

1997 A4 AWD I have the neuspeed 1.0bar, stock fuel pressure regulator, turbo xs MBC,BOV, and stock exhaust . with the chip on I can only get a max of 11psi I have checked for boost leaks have found any apparent ones but still checking. Any idea why I cant get anymore boost out of this thing?? neuspeed recommends the 5bar fuel regulator but I dont think a bar of fuel would bring my boost out another 8 psi. Ive herd of these ko3 spiking 20psi any ideas? Thanks

If you don't have a boost leak i would be looking at that.

I was starting to think the same thing before I just checked back, there is a neuspeed authorized dealer near by. Im taking it there this weekend I hope its a simple fix. If they tell me the chip is trashed and cant be replaced think I should just go with REVO or stick with neuspeed hearing some good stuff about REVO (I have F.A.S.T fuel injection system on my porsche so im big into the fuel and timing tables herd you can play with that stuff with revo)

maybe I am missing something?....what psi should your chip be spiking and holding at....

you do have a MBC...umm, I am confused...

you should be spiking at at least 18 and holding at at leat 14 (with a super weak tune)...

have you tried adjusting your mbc?...

The neuspeed chip is just an older chip that was on par when all the tuners went to 1bar. But by adding a mbc and turning up the boost to 18-20psi, it will be just as fast as a apr/giac/revo car.

I'm not sure if you know or not, but just to add, 1 bar is equivalent to around 14.5psi if I'm not mistaken. It may not be boosting to 18psi just because it's not designed to.

well called neuspeed they told me to record data and send it to them they will tell me if its working/installed on the car. My buddy have laptop and stuff for it so that this weekends project.Wanted to go with revo if neuspeed fails but no deals for may go withe the GIAC any ideas what to get?

The guy at neuspeed also told me the car wont build more boost on chip becasue my manual boost controller..... lol

WASTEGATE DOOR!!! beleive I have figured it out after changing my exhaust around I felt in exhaust side of turbo and the door for the wastegate was loose rattled a little. When driving when the motor is reving down it makes a rattle noise almost sounds like a chain. After searching around it seems lots of people loose almost all boost when these doors get loose or blow completly open so this weekend im going to tear turbo off see what I can do about it

oh yeah its chipped, the wastegate door was loose so welded it back to the rod so it doesnt rattle anymore and the exhaust housing was cracked also welded that back up runs great now very fast =) 18psi want any pics ask later guys
