Ok so my car f@#ked up took it to the shop and guy said o2 so i changed o2's out still nothing so now he said it will not run right till the codes are reset so he hooked up to the car to reset the codes and when he was rtrying to connect the machine he was useing almost caught on fire and it said error communicating ? any ideas? now he says it is the ICM so i ordered that. so well see any know what the real promblem is any help will be appricated. oh yeah 99 1.8tq tip

 

take it to a real shop.... maybe get a vag-com reset yourself

 

Yeah your mechanic sounds like a joke. I would find a good vw/audi repair shop to take it to.
