Default Sucessful Encounter!

Today I got my full cat-back Borla Exhaust installed! They look beautiful and ill take pics tommarrow when its light out. Although as of right now I am a little dissapointed with the sound, I know i've only put mabye 2 hours of driving onto them but its still a very very light groan and I went with Borla for a more profound deeper sound that will make people turn there heads. Im hoping it will loosen up and start giving that deep Borla sound it has a reputation for, but over all it looks awsome, my car feels alot less restricted and smoother and I love it. I just hope the sound comes more profound. Again, I'll post pics tommarrow, and if you have any info on how the exhaust works as far as burning out the crap inside please tell me! Thanks!

Thats what I got!

I don't think exhaust setups change their sound until they start breaking.. I've never had the sound change on anything I've put on my previous cars.

Get a high flow cat. More HP and more air flowing through tht exhaust = deeper louder tone. As soon as I get my car back Im throwing mine on there if you want hold off on getting an HFCand I'llpost clips of mine when I put it on.

Today I found out I have 4 resonators according to the guy, he will take 2 off for 50$ a peice.... Knowing I have 4 things to muffle sound makes me sick, I plan on taking it tommarrow and having two taken off for more sound. Whats your guys opinions?

So I am now back home in Texas. <3 Arizona. Anyway, I had a good time and I ended up taking two resonators off my car at "Apache Muffler" which does an amazing job and I wouldn't go elsewhere even if they offered me the service for less money. These guys did an awesome job with quality/perfection. Before I took the resonators off I could hear my engine over my exhaust which left me a little disappointed being I payed 700$ for an exhaust partially for sound (As dumb as that sounds) I’m happy I felt the performance right off the bat. But as soon as he lowered my car off the lift and started it with the resonators off you could just hear the difference at idle. It sounds deep, amazing and somewhat like a high profile European sports car would sound like, I’d say comparable to an Elise or something. Its not ricey, its deep and sounds awesome when driving by, I’m very satisfied and recommend Borla to anyone who wants performance and deep sound, just be sure to have the resonators taking off during install and you won't be disappointed. It was worth every penny and I'm happy it was my first mod done. I might not be chipping till I move back to AZ just to be safe. Well see how it goes, but anyway ill be posting again and its good to be back.

the borla on my 1.8 is amazing. it has only a resonator and muffler since its the single pipe exaust from the b5. but after a few hundred miles, it did noticeable change.
