As for the sunroof... lubrication can definitely be the problem.. if one section of the track is completely not lubed, it will get stuck there, explaining the lob-sidedness... one side could be getting stuck while the other side operates normally until it too, gets stuck because of the opposite side's malfunction.
It's a good starting point. Don't argue, just try it, if it don't work, try somethin else...
that's what I've learned to do from all the advices from the forum.
Cuz chances are, these people know better than the avg audi newb.

Hey CL, what would be the best thing to use to lubricate the sunroof if I can get in there? I'm working the rest of the week but hopefully early next week I'll be able to get in there.

 

I always use white lithium for lubrication.

 

I've heard of it but never used it. Is that a solid lubricant like the graphite that they use for locks or spray or like grease. It would be cool if it was a spray, maybe i could attach the little red extension thing and get it in there without dropping my headliner.
