FOr a few months, the sunroof on my 97 A4 was creaking whenever I would open or close it. It sounded like something was stuck in the mechanism. Now, it's stuck all the way open. The cover underneath it is also slid all the way back. I don't remember if it did that before. Using the crank tool doesn't close it.

Any ideas?

Has anyone else had the sunroof cover guide bind? My sunroof cover is slid so far back, I can't get it to slide forward. Here is the peice Headshok suggested.

Did we ever hear back from Bentframe as to how hard it is to take out enough of the interior headliner to get access to the sunroof track?

I'm taking my car to the dealer for a burning seat heater and I want to know if I should have them take care of the sunroof track probelm or fix it myself after I get it back. I'm waaaay past warranty and don't want to pay dealer prices for something I can do myself.
