is the 2.8l supossed to do ear peircing-ly loud at 40-60mph? im guessing theres something wrong with the car..... it almost sounds like a super loud exhaust...does anyone else have this?

 

It could be any number of things. Probably best to get it up on a lift and take a look at it.

I had the same thing happen with my 1.8, my link pipe had disconnected. Had to get a new link pipe and some welding work.

 

maybe ur exhaust manifold?

There is a small connecting pipe which connects your cats to your cat-back, the straps rust and fail, buy some hose clamps and push the sleeve back up.. then clamp it down
