ok i think i may know the problem but would like the FORUM opinion please,2001 A4 1.8T Q auto trans,When i have the AC on at a stop the rpm's sutge up and down,It will stop when i put it in nuetral or continue to drive.I was thinking of the IAC vale(or whatever Audi calls it)Any other suggestions,Car has 62,000 miles on it and has been well kept,Ive only had for three of four months,Been doing it ever since...Thanks

 

Not that this is any help, but mine does this as well. If I tap the gas, it tends to go away. Funny enough, I test drove a '07 A4 and it did the same thing (on one occassion)

 

Well when i bought the car i noticed some dealership recipes for service,They would sya"No problem found",I cant believe i i have to drive around with this surging all the time,Man hurry up winter(So i dont have to use the Air)Thanks for the reply

 

Mine did that as well until I had my ECU flashed with Revo stage1 software. Now it is smooth sailing....or stoping in this case.
