Do the switchblade key have a battery in it?

 

Yes they do. While alternative energy souces may have been discussed, a solar powered key fob that spends the majority of its time in your pocket... just sounds like a bad idea.

 

I believe they do, but I haven't had to worry about that yet.

It's a 1620 flat cell battery and it uses 2 of them. I haven't been able to find a 1620 in any local store, so I'll be ordering a replacement somewhere online(most on Ebay are cheap batteries). Good luck finding them.

 

What stores have you been going to? I went to "The Source" by Circuit City... they carry them. Maybe I should go buy a whole bunch and sell them on here if people can't find them. I just asked the guy at the cash for replacement batteries, he went and found them for me.

just be careful when you take apart the contolers if you havent already... i had to go to an audi dealer becuase i didnt want to split the thing in half haha.
