Sythetic Oil

RE: Sythetic Oil
As far as I know Audi has been recommending synthetic since at least the late 1990s. I've been running it in my cars for the last 20 years. It's well worth the extra cost because of the fuel savings and the longer engine life.

I know Audi does recomend synthetic now, and I use it in my car, and in my moms 1.8, but I just need to know if Audi recommended it on the S4 in back in 2000, because VW did not realize they were idiots for using conventional in the 1.8t until around 2002, or 2003 or so

RE: Synthetic Oil
I know to use synthetic, that was not my question, I even use synthetic in my 12v. I am looking at buying one and I want to make sure the dealer was using synthetic for the first few oil changes. Do you really think auto rx would make it all good? cant you not use Auto Rx in synthetic. I guess I could just run auto rx in dinosaur oil for like 1k and change it, but I really want to make sure.
