TomRitt I see you have the gt28rs. What do you think about it? Lag? Low end torque? Whats your 0-60? Where did you buy the kit from and for how much? Thank you for answering my annoying questions

 

Yup love it, love it, love it! Low end torque isn't as great as my k04 was, but around 3500rpm it gets going. I don't know what my 0-60, thats never really an accurate number because it largely reflects driver ability. I'm still not done, i dont have a fmic yet or a clutch, but on stick ic and clutch it hauls. I pieced the kit together and fabbed many of the parts. You can get most hardware parts from atp turbo. Probably ended up costing $5-6k

How much boost are your running and is this a safe kit or no?

 

currently running 14psi, once I get the fmic and clutch I'll be running 19psi daily, yes it safe as long as you do the precautions such as proper fueling, and monitor things via vag-com such as knock and timing retard. A wideband a/f guage would be a good idea too. I will be running 24psi on the track/dyno with 100oct

 

His setup made 0-60 in about 4.9 on a good day about 5.4-5.5 on a normal day and it took to about 3000 to start hitting boost then it took to about 4250 to make full boost. But seriously when boost kicked in it was amazing. It made everybody smile.
