So..I was changing my brake light blub today..and I noticed something kinda weird. When I removed my bulb-housing thingy ( I think that's the technical term! )..I notice 3 bulbs: turn, reverse, and brake. Seems normal right? If so..what's with the empty spot on the top??? There's a spot for a 4th bulb on the very top..what the heck is it for? If you know or have an idea..please let me know..cause its bugging the HELL out of me!!

 

Rear fog light is my guess. Do you have the turbo or the 2.8?

 

let me guess it is on the passanger side taillight right? you dont have a bulb there cuz you only get one rear fog which is on the drivers side, take that one out and it will have all 4

 

Oh...now it makes sense..so if I put a bulb in there I'll have dual rear fogs?? Cause that would be kina cool! Huh!?

 

Did you look at his sig? he has an S4

 

wire them both up so they ONLY come on with your brake lights,an even cooler effect. <-- thats how mine are wired up.

i put another bulb in the empty slot so when people think there cool and want to ride my a$$ i hit the botton and they think i hit the brakes and get off my a$$ i works pretty well so much so i have installed a switch in my wifes camry that turns on the brake light with out hitting the brake riding other drivers a$$ is a common thing around denver expictaly suv drivers but they learn quick

 

theres a DIY on here on how to do it, but its easier if you just splice into the wireing and put a wire from the brake lightwire to the fog light wire and your done. i only needed to do this on one rear light for both of them to work, unlike the DIY which tells you to do both rear lights.
youwill need to cut the whole in the passenger side rear light housing to put the missing fog light in.
once you do this mod, NEVER press the rear fog light button on your dash, you WILL blow a fuse and you wont be able to get out of park if yours in an automatic.
the rear fog light button should be out/off.
carry a couple extra fuses just incase. the fuse should be labled as "rear lights" and i think its a 7amp.
