Default TBA

is reseting the ECU and a TBA necessary after installing the ECS n75 race valve?

Not necessary but probably helps. I have done a TBA 3-4 times since installing it just in case.

if someone could please tell me what the TBA does exactly in detail. I hear clicky noises coming from ecu and behind glove compartment?

just interested in knowing what exactly is going on in there.

knowledge is power

I appreciate any response...

There is a sensor inside of your throttlebody that senses where it should be, like a tps. I believe the TBA just allows it to realign itself.......[&:]......maybe....I could be way off.

Do a search for "TBA" or "Throttle Body Alignment". Its been posted about numerous times.

you are quite right there what it does is tell the computer where the "WOT" ( wide open throttle is ) all you need to do is deck the accelerator peddle to the floor and switch the ignition on "not starting the engine of course" this corrects the reading in the ECM

really? so in order to do a TBA correctly you floor the gas then turn the key half way and let it adjust for 3 minutes? I've been doing the same thing without the gas pedal floored! what effect does that have and will it make any difference if I do it the other way? I've seen instructions and have searched about TBA but no one ever mentioned flooring the gas then turning the key, just turning the key halfway and listening to the clicking noises while it adjusts...

thanks 4 the responses guys!

basically your telling the computer where the end of acceleration is "ensuring all the cables are set right", WOT ( wide open throttle ) is never achieved on a drive cycle because you cant drive long enough like that without damage so you need to tell the computer the basics then it will set its self up to your driving habits
