some guy on az makes a custom heat shield for 90 bucks and i installed in on amez's car.

I think most would make their own, its so cheap and easy......

But, if you think you can make a decent one cheap, go for it.

I'd do a variation of this.....

very simple job but with 25cm alloy plate very light and will save the tranny and many other parts but only for off road use otherwise a waste of money

i think its worth a shot. there's not much to lose. i mean i need one on my car anyways. im looking to sell tk the people that want the diy mods but dont have the time/experience to do them there selfs so they can get them made cheap.

Ya you probably arent going to get a great response from the DIY guys. But I know of plenty lazy no DIYing members, so there's probably a market for it.. You probably wont get rich with it though, especially if you have a partner to split the profits with. Good luck with it and keep us posted on any designs.

The evolution skidplate looks better... more clearance around the swaybar, and doesn't mount to the plastic fender liner like the dieselgeek one does.
So much money though... Ugh. Maybe I'll try and make one someday. OR I'll see about the original posters success!

yeah ill pm you with the progress this weekend if i start it. i definatly want them to be strong. iv'e already checked out the materials and im posotive that i can do it for less than a half of the cost. ill let you know
