OK so i have a 1996 Audi A4 quattro to begin with. I have replaced everything an anything to do with with coolant system. Did the whole waterpump and tempsor,new resevour. all that. But my dash light will not stop blinking!. I tryed to jump the light by unplugging it from the bottle and sticking a wire in it and the light still stays on so i think i can rule out the resevour. I just have no clue where to go next!

Is the temperature guage in the middle?

 

Have you tried unplugging the neg. baterry cable, and see if it goes away after that?

Sounds like the sensor is giving a bad reading though. Does it blink all the time, only when the car is warm, or only when the car is cold?
