Default temperature light Flashing!!!

i was doing doughnuts in the parkinglot today and i noticed my temperature light flashing, but all the temperatures were normal.. I opened the hood and the only thing wrong was that i was kinda low on antifreeze (below minium mark). Could this be the issue?

yup. if your antifreeze level is low, it could be that you got a pocket of very hot air by the temp sensor, which caused it to go off. you should check your radiator, o-rings, and the ends of all your hose connections for leaks or pink crusty residue.

it could also be your coolant level sensor going off. theres a plug on the bottom of the tank when the level gets too low (or when i forget to plug it back in after moving the tank) the light goes off.
