I am going to be replacing my Thermostat real soon, I was on ECStuning.com and there's 3 different kinds of thermostats which are: OE Thermostat 87C, OE Thermostat71C, OE Thermostat82C. What are the differences,which one should I get? I have a 97 A4 1.8T. Also, I'm going to be flushing the system completely how many bottles of G12 should I buy, each bottle on there are 1.5 Liters. I tried searching but couldn't find much info on how much of the G12I need... Thanks![/align]

 

the only difference is the temperature difference. higher temp thermostats are used in colder places i think. i could be wrong on that one though. as for the coolant, i think you only need one of those 1.5L bottles but get an extra one in case you need a little more. make sure you bleed the system correctly or you will be back asking why you don't have heat lol

 

To bleed it, do you let the engine run with the reservoir cap open so it lets all the bubbles out? If I'm wrong what's the correct way? Thanks again![/align]
