Alright I feel like an idot asking this but here it goes. I have a 98 a4 1.8t by the way. I am having a heating issue but dont worry about that. I am going to change the thermostat and am like oh sh*t there isnt one there. Where the hell is it?

 

Should be on the bottom near the water pump.

Buy a Haynes manual for 15 dollars at PEPboys to show you where.

Yea, the thermostat is right up by the water pump. Wish I had a scanner so I could show you the pic from Bentley manual. If you are going to work on your car, get a Bentley. Supposed to be better than a Haynes.

 

Thats where I was. I actually work on vw audi for a living. Laugh go ahead. Its just when I pulled this customers housing where I thought or know where it should have been there was not one there. So I had a dumb *** moment.

As far as the former cars all except 1 I had while I lived in okinawa japan, I do miss them even though I am not a big fan of the skyline. The rx-7s are my baby
