These HID's or NOT?!!

RE: These HID's or NOT?!!
I was just checking out vvme.com's ebay ID "flashplus" I think its kinda funny because they've been getting a lot of negative feedback lately. But the thing is that vvme.com always says that the person is some kind of competitor trying to discredit them - lol - but its true - all(well most) of the negative feedback they have received has been from people with new ebay ID's and most of the negative feedback happens within 1-2 days after the auction ends. if you look back far enough almost all of the negative feedback is removed by ebay and the buying is no longer a registered user.
The reason I point this out is that their kit is only $103-106 on ebay. saves a little $$.

Those might well be reputable, but it sounds like everyone here knows for sure that vvme.com is the way to go. However, whether from the link you provided, from vvme, or anywhere else, if you want to really benefit from HIDs and actually get a big visibility improvement, skip the 10,000k kit and go with either 4300k, 5000k, or 6000k. Anything above that and you're getting the showy blue look (which you'll still get with the lower-kelvin kits that I named) but diminished light output. Keep in mind the real reason to get these lights is so you can see better, and order your kit accordingly.

yeah stay away from the 10000k you will get no usuable light. and for the b5 mine came with the car factory installed and it looks like all you need is the ballast and you can stick it anywhere you have room.

My car had halogens but the kit is very easy to install - honestly, you'll be done in 30 minutes max. Just mount the ballasts like cstarky said, and mount them securely so they're not banging around.

i used tie raps.... very easy plug and play... only thing is that you need to drill a 22mm hole in the headlight cover, so have something capable of making a 22mm hole... other than that, you only need your two hands and a phillips screwdriver to remove part of the airbox to be able to access the headlight

Let us know how the install goes.
6000K is the coolest you should go. Any more and you loose significant visibility. I had OEM HID and when one of the bulbs blew, I replaced them with 5000K which was much whiter.
