Eh, I wouldn't bother with those wheels

 

I'm new to the forum, but I had a similar thought last summer. I had purchased some used Volk SE37k's for my '94 RX-7 and wanted them gloss black to match the car. I was working for my dad's company at the time, and its main products are custom paints and coatings for a variety of industrial applications (furniture, cell phones, rooftiles, guitars, etc). When I asked the main chemist what his thoughts were on the subject, he told me that powder coating would provide a more durable finish that would better suit my needs, then offered to call up some friends that owned a powder coating place. They did all four wheels in gloss black, and after year they are still looking great. I'm not sure of the company name, but they are based in SoCal, Orange County I think. I can send before and after picks with the wheels mounted on the car if you'd like. Good luck either way. Josh
