Default Thinking of buying an A4..please help!!

I'm going to buy an A4 and want to have some opinions. Is there a big diff between the 05 and 06. What about the quattro? I live in florida so I'm not sure how much diff the quattro would make. And what about the 1.8 vs 2.0? Anyone think I shouldn't be buying an A4? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

well the 05 and 06 cars are completely different, they have a different body, engine everything they are completely redesigned. i would get the 06(B7) and the 2.0t... great engine, and the car's build quality is great. i would get the quattro because its good for rain as well as snow and u'll never know where u'll end up. for some reason i am not a huge fan of the 05 (B6) no idea why still a great car but i would choose the B7 over it any day.
give us more information like what will u be using the car for? will u be doing any moddifications? etc....

huge difference. if you got the money, get the 06. the b7's have a lot less problems than the b6's and b5's. and you get a 2.0 instead of a 1.8, which is like 30 more hp, and if you chip it, its even greater. and quattro ain't just for snow. i would hate to have a FWD car. what you need to do is go to the dealer and ask to drive both a FWD and quattro and you'll see what i mean.

where in FL you at?

I have had the B7 2.0T for almost 2.5 years. Great car, I would highly recommend. Very clean, solid car and engine. I notice the Q in the rain as well as in the snow. If you have the $, def go with the B7 over the B6.

Thanks for the help guys. Because of the price diff I ended up with the 05 a4 1.8t prem package. Its black on black and looks like new. It has 30,000 miles and I got it for 16,100. Most of the 06's were 19,500 plus. I hope I didn't make a mistake, but forthe money I decided to go with the 05.

That sounds pretty good from what I know. I don't keep up all that much on the cost of the newer cars as I bought mine just about 14 months ago and don't plan on replacing it for awhile. But that sounds like a good deal for the year, mileage, and features. Next step - pictures After that, mods!
